Nearly all government Agencies offer a 'teacher' page that includes teaching strategies for using their Agency's materials. Use these lessons as-is, or use their suggested materials with another teaching strategy of your choice. 3. The National Parks Service offers a wealth of lesson ideas and plans.
4. The United States Department of Agriculture has lessons that can be used in just about any classroom subject. They also offer lessons on nutrition and more for younger kids through their "My Plate" program. Many of these lessons can be adapted 'up' to other elementary grades.
5. The National Gallery of Art teaching resources also can be used across the curriculum and grades.
