The Federal Information Interest Group (FIIG) provides a forum for the sharing of knowledge regarding U.S. federal government information, and is open to those who have an interest in any and all aspects of federal government information.

Join the Federal Information Interest Group for a presentation by Kelly Smith (UC San Diego) and Jessica Breen (American University) titled "What’s Going On and What Can I Do?! Government Information in Early Trump 2.0.” As federal priorities shift, public information can become harder to access – or disappear altogether. Join Kelly and Jessica as they share practical tools and strategies for tracking these changes and preserving at-risk government information and data. Learn about helpful sources for increasing awareness of changes, developing resources such as the Data Rescue Guide to help users navigate shifting access, and actions you can take to support information transparency and preservation.
The Education Committee shall identify needs and issues concerning the education of users of government information and propose projects to resolve these needs and issues. The goal of this committee is to act as conduit for information regarding education resources in using government information to four audiences:

The State and Local Documents Interest Group (SLDIG) of the Government Documents Round Table provides a forum for librarians and others working with, or interested in, state and local government information. The Task Force focuses attention on the problems and concerns of documents librarian and others, offering an opportunity for discussion and exchange of ideas and news in the field of state, regional, and local information. The Task Force provides a means for initiation and supporting bibliographic control, guidelines and special programs and for increasing the availability, management and use of state and local information.
