LibGuides
The Technology Committee chair manages access to LibGuides and will grant access to committee members.
At the end of the Technology Chair's three-year term, the Chair will assign the new chair administrative privileges. The new chair will remove the previous chair's admin privileges if no longer needed.
GOOGLE - COMMUNICATING with GODORT TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE
The GODORT Technology Committee's GMAIL account is GODORTtechnology@gmail.com. This account is used to communicate changes to the GODORT pages, submit committee meeting minutes, and any other concerns to the committee.
LOGIN
The Technology Committee Chair is the keeper of the login password and shares this with committee members. Other committee members share responsibility of maintaining the Gmail inbox and other content saved in the committee's Google drive.
SECURITY
Google's security requirement for access is to enter a code sent to the account owner's email or phone. Committee members arrange a time to access the site so that the chair can send them the access code. This must be done for each device used to access this Google account.
DELEGATES
All committee members are made "delegates" of the Gmail account. This allows them to access and post email from any device without the need of verifying the device with a security code.
GOOGLE DRIVE
The Google account also contains the working documents of the committee.
