Below is an editable version of the PPM that regulates the work of the Technology Committee. The committee will refer to this document regularly to stay on task and to propose changes to it as needed.

PPM Technology Committee

I. Purpose
Chapter 27: Technology Committee
The purpose of the Technology Committee is to:
• Maintain and update GODORT’s website, including regularly soliciting content from other GODORT committees, task force, discussion and interest groups;
• Grant or revoke access to GODORT’s LibGuides accounts for current and outgoing committee members; and
• Create and maintain guidelines, timelines, and best practices for GODORT’s online platforms.
II. Organization
In accordance with the GODORT Bylaws (Article IV, Section 1), all appointments begin at the start of new business at the Steering Committee meetings of the Annual Conference.
Membership consists of four members:
A. Chair:
The GODORT Website Administrator serves as Chair of the Committee.
B. Members:
Three members shall be appointed by the GODORT Chair in consultation with the GODORT Steering Committee, one during even years and two during odd years.
III.Committee Officer/Members and Duties
See Chapter 1: Conferences; Chapter 2: Communication & Correspondence; Chapter 3: Steering Committee.
A. Chair (Website Administrator)
1. Is required to have an active ALA Connect account for Steering communication.
2. Should schedule at least one annual committee meeting, either virtually or at the Annual
Conference.
3. Facilitates communication among the chairs/leaders of other GODORT committees, task
force, discussion and interest groups for suggestions of content to be posted to the GODORT website
B. Committeemembers
1. Assist the Chair/Website Administrator in adding new content from the committees, task
force, discussion or interest groups to the GODORT website following the Steering
communication schedule (PPM, Chapter 3).
2. Post updated content to the GODORT website as directed by GODORT committees, task
force, discussion or interest groups.

C. Intern
ALA allows interns to be appointed as one-year, non-voting member of a committee. This introduces them to the workings of the committee and Round Table.
IV. Meetings and Communication
A. According to the GODORT Bylaws (Article V, Section 2), this committee will meet as necessary.
B. It is recommended that all committee members use ALA Connect for GODORT business.
C. Committees, task force, and interest groups wishing to submit information for the GODORT web
page should communicate with the Technology Committee through their official email address: GODORTtechnology@gmail.com.
