The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA) manages the state publications program. Current state publications are available in the Kentucky State Digital Archives. In the past, state documents were microfilmed for distribution to libraries.

The GODORT State Agency Databases Kentucky Guide provides an annotated list of state government agency resources which includes libraries, catalogs, directories and digital collections. These are excellent resources for cataloging and authority work.
