The North Carolina state documents depository system, the North Carolina State Publications Clearinghouse, was established in 1987 in the State Library. The Clearinghouse is responsible for collecting, classifying, cataloging and distributing NC state publications to depository libraries. Publications are cataloged into the OCLC database and assigned call numbers according to the Classification Scheme for North Carolina State Publications.
